As with graduates of the humanities, the ability to apply key contextual strands – economic, psychological, social – to a piece of material can prove a useful skill in careers in journalism and politics.
Many social science graduates choose to apply their anthropological insight as social and welfare professionals. Six months after leaving university, 12.3% of psychology graduates enter the field, slightly more than the 7.7% of sociology graduates who do the same.
