In this role, you’ll be responsible for the development of our P&C Product, Pricing, Claims and Underwriting (PPCU) proposition with a focus on Personal Lines pricing in Southeast Asia, whilst supporting on business development activities and client communication.
You will also act as the project manager for the delivery of a variety of projects including pricing and predictive analytics, data science, merger and acquisitions, reserve valuation, RBC, and IFRS17 for our P&C clients. Many of the projects will involve using WTW’s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients. In addition to project delivery, you will also be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development activities.
The Role
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders to drive business development activities around the PPCU proposition, including following up on existing business opportunities, actively seeking to generate new opportunities and maximize business through relationships and contacts
- Support market leaders and practice leaders to execute PPCU go-to-market plans and to achieve PPCU consulting and technology business objectives
- Promote PPCU proposition in SEA to further increase our PPCU consulting and technology footprint in the region and to grow recurring revenue
- Lead and support the delivery of P&C PPCU consulting projects and technology implementation, ensuring successful project deliveries that meet or exceed client expectations, while also meeting project budget, timeline and quality standards.

- Present WTW as the trusted advisor to our clients and broaden our client services across the insurance pricing value chain
- Develop and maintain regular contacts with existing PPCU clients, while building on new client relationships
- Understand current and future client needs in PPCU and the potential for WTW products and services to meet those needs
- Support our clients with solutions to succeed in the rapidly changing regulatory and market environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement and promote innovative culture within the business
- Support both regional and global PPCU technology and consulting initiatives to continuously drive the development of new ideas and new services offerings as well as the development of new propositions
- Closely interact with global and regional PPCU champions and leaders to focus our development activities and to drive the marketing and sales of new ideas and services
The Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
- Good progress with actuarial exams from recognized International Actuarial Bodies
- 8 – 18 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years of pricing experience in a direct insurer or consulting role in Singapore/Malaysia, preferably on personal lines, commercial lines, product design or data science. Less experienced candidates may be considered for more junior positions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak to both technical and business audience
- Experience with C-Suite interactions and multi-stakeholder management is a plus
- Self-driven achiever, and able to work independently with minimal supervision and is not afraid of getting hands dirty in finding solution in challenging situations
- Good understanding of the general insurance business, market and trends in Singapore and Malaysia
- Technical knowledge in Emblem and/or Radar is a highly desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with other WTW’s software (e.g. ResQ and/or ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in having technical and value-add discussions with clients / internal stakeholders and able to propose innovative solutions to improve business performance
- Demonstrated ability to build strong client and colleague working relationships
- Broad working experience across IFRS 17, reserving, pricing and/or M&A is a plus.
- Good time management skills, and able to multi-task.
- Fast learner as ICT has new software solutions released to the market regularly, requiring the individual to be able to quickly learn new tools and adapt to changes with minimum supervision
- Fluent in English. Ability to speak in other Asian languages is a plus (but not essential)
