£75,000 – £95,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Our client is looking for a nearly or newly qualified Capital Actuary to join a rising Capital team within a London Market Insurer with multiple syndicates. This role offers exciting exposure to all elements of Capital, including experimental and industry first projects. You will also work closely with regulators, board members and gain significant exposure to the Chief Actuary.
Responsibilities
- Help identify and prioritise development areas in the ECM and play a lead role in testing, implementing and communicating assigned development items
- Lead and advise junior members of the team and be able to help them prepare to present Actuarial data to non-Actuarial peers
- Engage in validation and work with regulators to ensure models are properly maintained and developed.
- Oversee internal model and develop model using the Capital Modelling software, Tyche.
- Develop new projects and work to ‘a blank piece of paper’ to find news ways or working with guidance from the Head of Capital
Skills/Experience Required
- Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary
- GI/Lloyd’s experience (Commercial Lines experience is essential)
- Previous Capital Modelling experience
- Tyche software knowledge is advantageous, but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a naturally inquisitive mindset
- Leadership experience is advantageous, but not essential
