Model Developer
Permanent role, part-time can also be considered.
£45,000 – £55,000 + bonus, pension and wider benefits package
Can be based from London or Scotland.
Hybrid-working, typically 2 days a week in the office.
A Model Developer is required for a market-leading Consultancy within the Pensions Actuarial function. We are ideally looking for an Actuarial Analyst who is looking to pivot their career trajectory towards software development. Prior experience with actuarial calculations for DB Pensions clients is advantageous for this role.
The main duties of the Model Developer role will include:
- Design, build, deliver and support a range of financial models utilised by the Actuarial function
- Working across a variety of softwares including asset liability models and roll forward models
- Opportunity to become a subject matter expert for internal modelling systems
- Build understanding of system design and risk issues relating to financial models
The successful candidate needs to have worked on actuarial calculations related to DB Pension schemes. You may be a Part Qualified Actuary or be an Actuarial Analyst who has progressed without studying the Actuarial exams.
The Model Developer will need strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues, including those in non-Actuarial teams.
