Calculation Analyst – GMPe
Position Overview
We are looking for experienced Calculations Analysts and part qualified actuaries with industry experience to join us as we grow our GMPe team.
As part of this role, you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team – over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
Role and Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of Actuarial and Pension calculations projects for Isio’s clients.
- Undertake data analysis to identify data requirements.
- Extract data from Pension Administration Systems, transform data and load data into modelling tools.
- Analyse data from various sources, such as trust deeds & rules, benefit specifications, valuations reports, admin platforms etc identify and fill data gaps, communicate findings.
- Support the production of calculation and project requirements documentation.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Configure systems and modelling tools to execute calculations, analyse results, and identify remediation actions.
- Produce Client reports including supporting the development of consulting advice.
- Participate in client meetings and project status calls.
- Test results and outputs on Pension and Actuarial calculation and data projects
- Understand the project needs and define the test approach and planning.
- Define testing requirements, drafting test plans, coverage, scripts and expected results from project documentation and by working with the project team.
- Analyse results and identify remedial actions.
- Liaise with clients, third parties and client departments.
- Support the technical development of our technology platforms through participation in new and/or enhanced developments.
- Provide support to the line manager in the effective management of any staff under their direct control.
- Facilitate internal and external system training when required.
Key Skills & Experience

- 4-5 years working in the defined benefit pension scheme project arena including working on complex pension calculations and/or data analysis including complex data manipulation, including GMPe projects.
- Comprehensive / advanced Microsoft excel skills.
- Proficient in IT including Microsoft package, pension administration systems and calculation systems.
- Experience in working with clients, and various internal teams, and ability to work productively as part of a project team.
- Experience in identifying client needs and providing consultancy expertise.

We can offer a range of locations for you to choose from – we have Isio offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reading.
