As part of this role you would manage the quarterly reserving processes, portfolio reviews and other ad-hoc deep dive profitability analysis of their insurance business written on their company platforms.

Overview

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Produce draft quarterly reserve results and reserve report for review
  • Produce draft quarterly Solvency II technical provisions and Solvency II memo
  • Produce quarterly IFRS17 provisions
  • Produce monthly AvsE report
  • Work towards actuarial qualification
  • Ensures own Personal Performance and Development Plan (PPDP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is maintained

Experience required:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in General Insurance (GI) Actuarial reserving experience is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Proficient working with Excel
  • Experience working with ResQ (beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Work with more junior members of the team providing guidance and take an interest in their professional development
