Overview
Key duties (including, but not limited to):
- Reporting to the Head of GI Reserving, you will lead the quarterly reserving process, ensuring the delivery of accurate and comprehensive reports to key committees such as the Reserving Committee and Audit Committee
- This position involves managing a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment while overseeing both technical and strategic initiatives.
- You will be the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, providing expertise on reserving methodologies and assumptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications required:
- An honours degree (2:1 or above) in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or another degree with significant mathematical content
- Fully qualified Actuary (FIA or FFA)
Experience required
- In-depth knowledge of current industry developments and regulatory framework
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of actuarial techniques
- Proven track record of demonstrating actuarial judgement based on a pragmatic assessment of business needs
