To work predominately with underwriters but also liaising across various departments including claims and actuarial reserving teams.
Overview
Key duties (including, but not limited to):
- Case Pricing and monitoring of large accounts
- Model development
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects
- Develop strong working relationships with underwriting, reserving and claims teams
- Assist with the development and implementation of pricing controls and systems of governance
- Takes responsibility for own and colleagues’ Health & Safety at all times
- To ensure customers are treated fairly at all times, in accordance with the Conduct Risk Policy and other relevant policies and procedures
- To be aware and adhere to all obligations under GDPR, ensuring that the business complies with these requirements
- To avoid breaches and to report them to the Data Protection Officer when they occur regardless of whether electronic or on paper
Qualifications required:
- 2:1 in a numerate degree
- Studying towards fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries
Experience required:
- Minimum 3 years actuarial experience in general insurance field
- Advanced Excel
- Experience in using a programming language e.g. VBA, R, Python or SQL
