As a Senior Actuarial Manager within the Health Pricing team, you will be responsible for identifying, defining and delivering on impactful pricing opportunities aligned to the pricing strategy of the business
Overview
Key duties (including, but not limited to):
- Data Management: Use expert judgement and domain knowledge to review data and model outputs
- Modelling: Question assumptions and ensuring a robust rationale
- Reporting: Answer challenges and robustly justify assumptions and solutions
- Communicate information to stakeholders: Brief and present to senior management, contributing to strategic and business planning processes
- Coach Actuaries and Actuarial Specialist/ Managers, identifying gaps and creating learning opportunities
Qualifications required:
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent, or has significant skills obtained through many years of specialist knowledge
Experience required:
- Experience of working within financial services, particularly in health or life insurance
- Knowledge of SQL, writing and editing complex queries to extract and process data, e.g., using SQL Server Management Studio
- Knowledge of Python and associated data processing libraries (e.g. pandas, numpy)
- Knowledge of more advanced visualisation/dashboarding tools such as Power BI
