To assist the Actuarial Director for all aspects of regulatory and statutory Actuarial Processes, including IFRS 17, SII TPs (Solvency II Technical Provisions) and related areas. To be the key point of contact for the relevant Finance teams and support other Group functions.

Overview

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Own and manage the design and implementation of IFRS 17, SII TP and related areas for Syndicate, Group and Entity reporting, utilising innovative and tech bases solutions
  • Coordination, planning and delivery of all actuarial calculations performed during the IFRS 17 and SII TP calculation process, working with the Actuarial and Finance teams
  • Oversee all actuarial aspects of IFRS 17 and SII TP reporting and analytics including assumptions, calculations and documentation of results
  • Contribute to the Reserving MI platform as required to support IFRS 17 and SII TP actuarial processes.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified Actuary (FIA, FFA or equivalent)
  • Obtained a relevant, numerate degree with a good overall grade

Experience required:

  • Experience of managing a small team of analysts/students and prioritising others’ workloads
  • Expert regulatory knowledge and sound commercial general insurance company market experience
