****Applicants should be in their penultimate year of studies and graduating from an undergraduate or master’s degree programme in 2026*****

Barnett Waddingham is a leading independent UK professional services consultancy advising on risk, pensions, investment and insurance. With over 1700 people across 9 offices, our core purpose is based around empowering people to secure better futures. We are a sustainable and thriving client and people focussed organisation, committed to doing the right thing.

We are wholly owned by Partners so we can take a longer-term view. We are dependent on talented and well-trained employees who enjoy working for a leading organisation in a closely knit and friendly team. To achieve this – and further support our continued growth we are looking for talented, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who value the chance to join our summer student programme in our Insurance & Longevity Consulting team.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive firm, committed to our core purpose of doing the right thing. This is underpinned by our core behaviours, building relationships, finding solutions and delivering impact.

We have a supportive structure in place to help you manage your work/life balance. Increasing our talented workforce is imperative to maintaining a proactive and competitive business, which is why our study support package and dedicated training team are always on hand for guidance throughout our graduate programme and beyond.

Many students who have completed our summer internship have gone on to develop their career with us after university as part of our graduate programme. Look at what a recent summer student has to say:

“As a Summer Intern, I worked on a range of projects including helping to develop a new process for calculating insurance reserves, debugging code on systems such as Tyche as well as helping to create reports and presentations for clients. ILC fosters an incredibly supportive culture where the whole team is friendly, enthusiastic and willing to help. Another aspect that stood out to me was how knowledgeable everyone in the team was and how willing they were to answer my questions and share their knowledge (for example, I never knew that David Beckham insured his legs)! There is also a wide range of social events on offer at BW, my personal highlight being the ILC karaoke social. However, there were many other great events as well, such as sporting tournaments, weekly office drinks and the ILC welcome lunch.” (Tristan – London)
