Job Description

Our services are designed to support trustees and employers by delivering pragmatic advice which brings clarity to complex issues such as investing assets, de-risking, longevity, risk management and the impact of legislative changes. We undertake a range of services for clients including full-service actuarial consulting, investment consultancy and standalone projects such as mergers and acquisitions. Responsibilities

  • Have in depth knowledge in areas of specialism to support consultants in identifying problems that clients might not even be aware of and to identify opportunities for new business
  • Be aware of upcoming changes in their field and inform the rest of the team of any developments that may affect our clients and monitor market developments • Explain technical pensions subject matter in plain English – which could be applied in drafting client news alerts / marketing material etc
  • Support the team to adhere to specific targets – both in terms of quality of work and meeting deadlines
  • Identify, manage and develop Actuarial / Employer Consulting Products, communicating this to PATC and the Corporate Consulting Board
  • Help to develop tools to extend our range of Actuarial / Employer Consulting services
  • Help to develop procedures and standards for Actuarial / Employer Consulting work
  • Help to develop the Actuarial / Employer Consulting Intranet sites and contributions to technical areas
  • Help to develop Actuarial / Employer Consulting marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of Actuarial / Employer Consulting Seminars (drafting slides, etc.)
  • Report to PATC on initiatives undertaken in relation to areas of specialist knowledge
  • Assist in training of local actuarial teams on Actuarial / Employer Consulting issues
  • Respond to consultations on Actuarial / Employer Consulting issues • Miscellaneous complex reports or actuarial calculations in areas of specialist knowledge

  • Suitable experience to lead the team in question and excellent team management skills (team leader role)
