Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has announced today the expansion of its employee benefits business with a £17 million buyout of Alexander Forbes Consultants & Actuaries (AFCA).
AFCA employs over 300 people in the UK and has offices in Croydon, Edinburgh, London, Solihull, Manchester and Southampton. JLT’s employee benefits business now employers over 2,000 staff, including around 70 actuaries, 180 consultants and 35 wealth management advisers.
JLT UK employee benefits chief executive Duncan Howorth has commented: ‘This acquisition brings together two employee benefits businesses with highly complementary client offerings that share a similar culture and level of ambition.’
JLT hope this expansion of its business will strengthen its expertise and capabilities in the health and wellness, risk, annuity and investment areas.
